2015 CEO Report
We enter 2015 at last with an improvement in prices for both cattle and sheep, although this is a two edge sword for some that have had to destock at depressed prices and now have to restock at higher prices, such is the life of the Australian livestock producer.
As Chris & I travel Australia and see how depleted our female cattle numbers are, added to the interest for cattle for live export; the prices of beef, by all indications, should stay buoyant for the next couple of years, and hopefully much longer.
It is also good to be able to report another year of growth for our family company and also winning a couple of awards in 2014, which is a well-deserved pat on the back and recognition for our very dedicated and passionate staff.
We have taken the opportunity to purchase the land alongside our head office and manufacturing facilities in Calula Drive in Mount Gambier, with the intention to build new facilities in the future.
This year we had a visit to New Zealand to provide information about our products due to enquiries and also have both the NTCA conference in Darwin in late March and Beef 15 at Rockhampton in May. Chris & I and as many of our staff as possible will be there to introduce ourselves to our clients and potential clients. Our team will also be attending many other field days and agricultural events throughout the year which you can keep in touch with via our Facebook page.
Our company has been very fortunate to be able to secure the services of Charlie Crossley from Townsville in Queensland to join our team, he comes to us with a wealth of knowledge of the cattle and sheep industry and has seen the success of our Beachport products and the growth of our company since our introduction into QLD in 2012. He will be based in Townsville and will have a key role in the expansion of Beachport through NSW, QLD, NT & WA.
We have also secured the services of Jacqui Mathys to our team in late 2014 recommended to us from our clients. Her 9-year background in the agricultural industry involved in animal health and nutrition has already made her a valuable asset to our incredible team.
In closing Chris, Kelly & I would like to thank all our staff, our outlets and loyal clients for their continuing support of our company and our products and for all of you that believe in Beachport Liquid Minerals it is so pleasing to see it kicking goals for everyone everywhere and getting the great reputation the range of products deserve.
