I used the Beachport Green Cap product on a consignment of Angus steers that were being transported to Killara feedlot outside of Quirindi in Northern NSW.

We were very concerned about shrinkage following an earlier consignment that experienced a 9% loss of weight on the identical trip. We were very pleasantly surprised to find our shrinkage, following the use of the Green Cap product, was below 4%. This gave us on average an extra 23kg liveweight and at $2/kg that’s an extra $46 per head for a $1.26 per head investment.

We will certainly continue to use Green Cap on animals being consigned long distances.
