Blue Cap with Phosphorus

A Liquid Mineral Supplement for Sheep & Cattle used orally, or added to water or feed.

With about 70% of soils in Northern Australia with some degree of phosphorus deficiency, the Blue Cap with Phosphorus is the same as our blue cap product but with added phosphorus to aid in these deficiencies.

By using our own chelating method, we have been able to increase phosphorus and sulphur levels, without impacting on the availability of magnesium and zinc already in our product. Nitrogen in a chelated form is also available in amounts to stimulate the rumen but to be safe at all times for the animal.

Green Cap - Low Stress Mix

This formulation has been developed to utilize the numerous natural occurring effects of Fulvic Acid on livestock. One of these being the ability of Fulvic Acid to suppress stress causing hormones resulting in calmer livestock.

It is blended in conjunction with chelated trace elements to help livestock to cope better with the stress of the unfamiliar surrounds of yarding and trucking.

The mix is to be administered to water supplies with a BLM dispenser. It can also be mixed with feed in the same rates per head and time frames as used in water.

The GREEN CAP mix has extra electrolyte concentrations for lowering of stress in livestock. This mix lowers the stress in two ways:
- It naturally lowers the pH level within livestock meat
- It suppresses stress hormones as proven in trials

The Green Cap mix is used primarily for long haul transport of livestock, introduction into feedlots, weaning and change of diet.

HOW TO USE TO GET BEST RESULTS

Dose 24 to 48 hours before transport. If possible dose with 25 mLs per head 48 hours before transport and the other 25 mLs 24 hours before transport.

For cattle 300 kg & above 50 mLs per head. Cattle between 200 to 300 kgs 35 mLs per head best results again halved doses. If only one dose can be administered dose in the water 24 hours before trucking.

Cost per dose for 50mls. (Green Cap 20 ltrs.)

84c per dose

For Sheep & Prime Lambs the same principles apply - 10 mLs per head. For young or very light store lambs - 5 mLs.

For feedlots & weaning: add to water as soon as entry to yards or feed lot again a split dose gives the best result if possible.

Cost per dose for 10mls. (Green Cap 20 ltrs.)
16.8c per dose

BLM Floating Dispenser

USING BLM DISPENSER WITH LARGE MOBS OF CATTLE

You must have a quarter of the 20 ltr. drum empty as the system works on air and water replacement.

Water will replace the supplement up to the amount of supplement placed in drum.

It takes about three to four days to meter the supplement out after being placed into the tank with the drum upside down.

To make it easy to retrieve the drum and dispenser. Tie a length of rope the same length as the depth of the tank to the handle of the drum and the delivery pipe. This also makes it easier to get the drum up into the tank.

To get the best result spread the ltrs of supplement needed out evenly over the six weeks. This ensures all stock get access to the supplement.

Example 1: 1,000 head of adults on 1 water point (50mls per head for 6 weeks)

1000 animals would need 50 ltrs every six weeks. To keep it simple dose every 2 weeks with ¾ of a 20 ltr. drum. Put  ¾ full drum into tank upside down with the BLM dispenser replacing the cap. The dispenser will meter supplement out over the next three days into the tank. Return 2 weeks later empty the water out of the drum that has replaced the supplement. Then ¾ fill with supplement and return to the tank.  If stock has access to 2 water points use a dispenser in each tank and ½ the amount of supplement (8 ltrs instead of 16 ltrs.)

Example 2: 600 head of adults on 1 water point (50mls p/h for 6 weeks)

600 animals would need 30 ltrs every 6 weeks. To keep simple 10 ltrs every 2 weeks using the BLM dispenser.

Example 3: 600 cows and 200 kg. weaners  600 x 50 mls =30 ltrs 600 x 20 mls. = 12ltrs

A total of 42 ltrs per 6 weeks. Divide by 3 applications (every 2 weeks for 6 weeks)

So ¾ of a 20 ltr. drum every 2 weeks.
