Family Business
Beachport Corporation is a family company established in 2006 that manufacture and distribute Beachport Liquid Minerals throughout Australia. Manufacturing facilities are in the “Limestone Coast” region of South Australia in the heart of a strong livestock industry, where owners Kym & Chris Sutherland originate from along with their daughter Kelly, who works the admin/marketing side of the business.
This is a livestock producer based company with a “real” commitment to rural Australia, being intensely involved in research and development, in the animal husbandry sector of the livestock industry.
The company was started by livestock consultant, Kym Sutherland, who knows the value of trace elements to their livestock and wanted formulations more suited to livestock needs. In particular critical attention has been paid to the quality assurance surrounding the manufacturing of these formulations and resultant products, to ensure a safe and accurate product.
Livestock Experience
Beachport Corporation has a good mix of experience from the livestock industry to research and development. The General Manager, Kym Sutherland has nearly 40 years experience in the livestock industry. Kym has hands on experience in the battle of trace element deficiencies in livestock, running livestock properties close to the coast in the south east of South Australia. This balance of hands on experience and technical knowledge gives the company a greater understanding of what is needed in livestock and how to achieve those results.
Incorporated into Beachport Corporation is Sutherlands Livestock Selection involved in sourcing and classing quality livestock, Australia wide. With Kym’s experience as a stockman he can offer a range of services from genetic assessment (herd improvement) to animal nutrition. With this knowledge and assessment it is made possible to customise the company’s product range for specific areas of Australia.
Business Champion Awards
In November 2010 the Beachport Liquid Minerals team flew up to the Australian Small Business Champion Awards night in Sydney after being nominated for the awards in October. Our entry was placed in two categories, for Agribusiness and for the Business Growth category and we proudly received certificates as finalists in both categories. It was a fantastic evening of entertainment and awards in many industries with a crowd of approx 800 people.

Innovation Award
In 2007 Beachport Liquid Minerals received the SA Great 2007 regional award for Innovation. The Sutherland family were honoured and proud to have their success recognised at this level.

NT Cattleman’s Association
We were happy and pleased to be sponsors of this years NT Cattleman's Association Industry Conference. The Conference was held in Katherine on 1st April 2011 and as a sponsored company of the event we had our own booth on the day with the opportunity to speak to many of the people involved with stations throughout the Northern Territory & Western Australia. It was a well organised and fantastic event and we thoroughly enjoyed our time during the conference and the dinner.
BEACHPORT SHOWJUMPING FESTIVAL 2009

Babirra Ram Sale - 2009
Robert Farrows, Babirra Stud first come to my attention due to the reputation for the quality of his sheep. While on the York Peninsular I called to see Robert to have a look at his rams. Once seeing his stock and having a look around his property, left in now doubt why Robert and family have such a great reputation for the quality of their sheep.
Robert was also interested in using our product and contacted us just before his next Ram Sale and offered to put up our BLM Banner and a display of our products.
As the Farrow family have never allowed any outside advertising at their Ram Sales this was a huge compliment to the belief Robert has in our product.
To be associated with such quality stock and top sheep people is something Beachport Liquid Minerals are very proud of and are happy to sponsor their ram sales as long as the Farrow family are happy to do so.

Eyre Peninsula Merino Breeders Day
BLM have been a sponsor of the Eyre Pen. Merino Breeders since the inception of Beachport Liquid Minerals. This stems from Kym being brought up on the families' merino stud in the South East of South Australia and purchased a lot of merino sheep from the Eyre Peninsula. He strongly believes that the Eyre Peninsula is one of the best areas in Australia for breeding merino sheep.

2008 Elliston Wool Show
The BLM team would like to congratulate the Elliston community for their extremely well organized and well run wool show. It is a pleasure to be involved with this long running wool show.
It was very rewarding to see how many of our customers were successful on the day and the positive feedback from everybody using our products.
We would like to congratulate Lairg Station, Sheringa (John Reynolds and family) for winning the BLM Best Fleece.
Congratulations also to Bruce & Karen Agars Oaklands Elliston for their successful day in bringing home two trophies.
